DILPREET IS OUT ,ITS VERY DISAPPOINTED-
SHE IS VERY TALENTED SINGER WHAT U THINK?

The results of the second piano round came as a jolt to the judges of Indian Idol. And the unexpected results left the judges wondering about question such as — What is it that clicks with the Indian viewers? What is it that makes them vote for a contestant? Is it the X-factor? The pure singing talent? Or the emotional connect? What is it that works on the mind of Indian viewers?

Lets find it out for ourselves as we look into the lives of three trendy teenage girls who have made it to the final gala round of Indian Idol.

From Kolkata with love

This sweet voice from Kolkata seems to be the viewers’ favourite. Monali Thakur comes from a family where music runs in the genes. Monali’s father Shakti Thakur is a professional singer and an actor in Bengali film industry, while her sister Mehuli Thakur-Goswami is a playback singer. Monali was trained in classical music by Pandit Jagdish Prasad. A fan of Celine Dion, Monali aims at being an international pop icon and considers Indian Idol as the stepping stone to her dream. Monali also closely follows Asha Bhonsle and Sonu Nigam and admires their presentation and style.

Delhi’s dudette

Next in the row is Neha Kakkar from Delhi who spices up the stage with her brilliant onstage performance. Right from the age of four Neha accompanied her elder sister Sonu Kakkar (a renowned playback singer) to mata jagrans. She has never learnt music professionally but aspires to. She wants to bring about a change in the tonal quality of her voice.

Nagpur’s darling

And last but not the least is Yashashree Bhave from Nagpur whose confidence and will power seems to have done the magic for her, giving her the most unexpected victory of her life. Yashashree’s mother is a well-know singer and singing is something that Yashashree has inherited from her.

She started singing at the age of four and since then has been learning classical music regularly. She is currently pursuing her studies in Sanskrit and loves to listen to Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle and Kavita Krishnamurthy. She believes that good music and good compositions always survive the test of times.

So the next episode of Indian Idol Series 2 culminated in giving the final round these three contestants. They will be groomed by NC Karunya, Sagar Savarkar and Ravi Tripathi for the finals

  3. The results of the second round has been out huh? I hate to say this but yashashree does not deserve a spot in the finals. Do you guys really think that girl can sing? I mean to me frankly, she does not even have this indian idol essence. I mean she's kinda plain and timid and I don't like her voice either (shaky, inconsistent and lack of confident). At least Prajakta (from the previous indian idol) got a sweet look and a sweet voice too, which is a big selling factor. Also, I doubt yashashree is a flexible singer. I don't think she can sing other type of songs well besides the normal indian classics. Her voice is more suited to that kind of music ie;indian classics. I am so devastated when dilpreet was not selected. I was in tears just like she did. She sang very well. The first time I heard her voice, I told myself that this girl will go to the finals. There is something unique and wholesome about her voice. She was an all rounder. If the first round, the indian idol organiser can came out with an unexpected surprise by bringing in karunya in the last minute, by making an exception to the rules, why not they do the same thing to dilpreet. That girl deserves a place in the finals and we need poeple like her who can sing. Why waste a spot on people who chances are...., will be voted out in the first 2 rounds of the finals. Dilpreet is no Amit Sana, who got to learn singing form scratch. She is a talented singer and will go far if she is in the finals. I won't be surprise if she managed to end up in top 4. The public votes have been unfair. I hope the three judges would sit down and worked something out to try to bring her back into the show. I don't mind if Abhaa was out. She sang so bad that my ears feel like bursting. I cannot help but to laugh throughout her performance. She distorted the whole song. Had she been voted in, I swear to God I won't watch anymore Indian Idol for the rest of my life..heeheehehe..
