19-years old Arpita Khan is first year BA Sanskrit Honors Student. She has been learning music since the tender age of 5 years from her guru, Jayanto Sarkar and Anu Shila Bose. Her father is a headmaster of a RK Shiksha Peth Secondary School while her mother is a housewife now, earlier she uses to be a singer herself.
Arpita’s hobbies include singing, painting, gaming, listening to music and shopping. She has a huge collection of soft toys and can even open her shop with that kind of collection. She has participated in many reality shows and has also done playback singing for couple of Bengali movies.

Arpita, If you continue singing mindless songs such as Abke Saawan, Dhoom Machaley, you will be out of Indian Idol sooner than you think. Stop trying to cash on your powerful voice, People vote for melody, verstality and courage. If you pick melodious songs that people have loved throughout the ages you will make it. Chart your journey in Indian Idol based on classic melodies from past and inventive songs usch as Ranjha Ranjha from Ravan, I don't know what to do from House Full, Sayyan Ched Deve from Delhi 6 etc etc. Always stay within popular perimeter dont step out into shouting and screeing realm, you will fail for sure. Yes, before I forget, you must recite a rendering of Sanskrit Shlokas one day to mesmersie everyone. Your well wisher. Tan Sen
